Rose Louise Fisher, 102, of Thousand Oaks passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010.

She was born on April 7, 1907 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and grew up on Vancouver Island. Rose led a very active life and was still involved in crocheting and teaching classes at the Goebel Senior Center in Thousand Oaks up until one year ago. She enjoyed her time there with her many friends.

Rose is survived by her two daughters: June Craven and Elinor Medler. She also leaves behind and will be deeply missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her very much. She left a legacy of love and was the eldest of five generations.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 at Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, Thousand Oaks, with a viewing starting at 12 noon. A burial will follow the service at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks, Westlake Village.
