Carmen E. Fahlgren, 96 of Thousand Oaks passed away Jan. 23, 2010 in Thousand Oaks.

She was born July 4, 1913 in Barranquilla, Colombia and was a resident of Ventura County for 35 years moving here from Burbank. Carmen was a retired homemaker who enjoyed cooking and was a member of the senior club at Saint Paschal Baylon Church in Thousand Oaks.

Carmen is survived by son, James Fahlgren; daughter Mary Burnette; grandchildren, Paula Evans, Gary Vanni, Wesley Fahlgren, Nicole Kennedy and Shannon Fahlgren; great-grandchildren Kainan Bever, Owen Fahlgren and Mason Kennedy.

The visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at the Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 101 E. Wilbur Road in Thousand Oaks. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at Pierce brothers Valley Oaks memorial Park in Westlake Village.
