Born on Jan. 26, 1957 in Hastings, England to Edgar and Jean Dobson, Kevin moved to California in 2002 to be with his wife Dedra. He was taken too soon on Feb. 1, 2010 with family and friends at his bedside.

Kevin was the youngest of three children and was preceded in death by his father, Edgar; and sister, Janice.

Kevin had an undeniable passion for life and was a fiercely devoted fan to his "proper" football team, Manchester United. In addition to "proper" football , he became a fan of American football ; specifically the New England Patriots. He had the uncanny ability to share minute details of all sports and enjoyed doing so frequently. Kevin had a vast knowledge of current and world events and spent much of his spare time keeping all of us informed of them. Kevin had a kind and generous spirit and would help anyone at the drop of a hat. He was an active community member and was proud of his US citizenship that he received in 2008.

In 2008 Dedra and Kevin became the legal guardians of their much loved niece, Lisa. Lisa and Kevin developed a strong bond and could often be found window shopping at the pet store. Ultimately Kevin became confidant and father-figure to both of his nieces, Tricia and Lisa, and was proudly awaiting the arrival of Tricia's first child.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Jean; loving wife, Dedra Fischer-Dobson; side-kick and niece, Lisa Fischer; his "other" daughter Tricia Fischer; older brother, Bernard; and hundreds of friends and family on both sides of the pond.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at Pleasant Valley Hospital., especially the physicians and nurses in the Intensive Care Unit. Both their knowledge and their kindness during this difficult time have been appreciated and will not be forgotten.

A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 5, at the Camarillo Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 3975 East LAs Posas Rd.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to a trust for Lisa Fischer in care of P.O. box 1827, Camarillo, Ca 93011.
